Deco: Puzzled by Robinho
Chelsea playmaker Deco is struggling to understand Robinho's decision to join Manchester City.
Brazilian forward Robinho had been expected to sign at Stamford Bridge this summer; however, backed by the financial muscle of Abu Dhabi United Group, City secured a shock swoop for his signature on transfer deadline day.
Deco, who moved to Chelsea from Barcelona in June, doubts whether Robinho's move to Eastlands was based on footballing reasons, with City finishing ninth in the Premier League last term and set to ply their trade in the Uefa Cup this season.
The Portuguese said: "To leave Madrid to go to Chelsea is okay, but I have my doubts with respect to City.
"I don't know, we will have to ask Robinho what happened. It's not normal either to change Real for City, only for the money. Robinho has the standing to play in a team who aspire to titles."
