Ditch crappy laptop sound with Urban Outfitter's laptop speaker
This seems like a very good idea indeed. Having spent a lot of time in hotel rooms listening to music through my tinny laptop speakers, the idea of having something small you can bung into the USB port makes sense. Girls Aloud just isn't the same unless you can hear the full nuances of their lyrics.
This speaker is from Urban Outfitters, but is at a decidedly non-Urban Outfitter's price of $39. It's practically pleading with you to clicky the buy link.

Way cool. One of the problems I have with regular speakers is that somehow they keep... ummm... thumping, perhaps because they're near other cables. There's a constant helicopter-type noise. Drives me nuts. This would solve the problem, I think.
