Forget flowers and choccies and even diamonds, we want gadgets
We all know the saying 'diamonds are a girl's best friend'. Well, this could soon be a thing of the past with diamonds being replaced by all things gadgety. According to a recent survey, every three out of four women will choose a pricy and glitzy TV over a diamond solitaire necklace, a high-end mobile phone over designer shoes and the very much loved little black dress will take a backseat for the iPod.
The survey, conducted by US channel Oxygen Network, indicates that the gender gap has practically closed as women are the new aficionados of technology, snapping up the latest tech and using them with ease (something we have been accused of not being able to do well in the past).
So the next time someone tells you technology and high-end gadgets are for men, you firstly need to tell them to shut the f**k up, you then need to tell em this is a thing of the past and reel of the list of gadgets you have. It will probably surprise them. I know I beat a lot of my male friends of the gadget front.
So for all the guys who read this, forget the flowers, chocs and perfume, coz your girlfriend is secretly hoping for the latest MP3 player or high-end TV.
