Facebook gets a facelift with a newly revamped site
Facebook stalking has just been improved. If you really like the layout of your Facebook page, it would be a good idea to take a few last looks at it and say goodbye. This is because Facebook has undergone its much anticipated transformation, that'll make it easier to stalk keep track of your mates, potential boyfriends, ex-boyfriends, people you hate, and whoever else's page you like to check out when on Facebook.
The new site is basically just a case of moving a few things from right to left and condensing several different menus into a single navigation bar. You then have all your applications in one accessible place, rather than all over your page. Even the good ole' wall has been given an upgrade with a new publisher feature. So now, users will be able to add photos, upload video, or write notes, without having to go to each application individually. Users can also use the publisher on their profiles to add content to friend's pages. Although, this sounds like it could get out of hand with friends uploading things you don't want on your page!
The new Facebook layout makes great use of tabs, so this means your Facebook page won't look cluttered and is easier to manage. Take a look for yourself at www.new.facebook.com, and take in those changes. We'd love to hear what you think. The main aim is to simplify the Facebook experience, to make it easier to share information and to give users more control and ownership of their profiles. However, I've had a look, and it will take some users a while to get used to the changes, so managing their profile actually becomes easier.
It's in beta phase now, supposedly open to a select few (although I can access it), but it's pretty safe to say your old Facebook page will no longer be in use by the end of the month - so say your goodbyes now.
