Cannes Film Festival 2008: Mischa Barton & Natalie Portman @ Blindness premiere

Not to be outdone by their peers, Mischa Barton and Natalie Portman also made their grand entrances at yesterday's Cannes Film Festival. At the première of Blindness, the young actresses who are in Cannes for separate film projects, brought a touch of youthful elegance to the beginning of the festival.

Finally Mischa Barton seems to have returned to her stylish ways after a series of forgettable red carpet outfits. The former OC actress is in Cannes for her film You and I, as well as to party on pal Margherita Missoni's yacht, which will host Quintessentially (a private member's club) party on Friday night. Barton sparkled in a navy fishtail dress by Alberta Ferretti, although I am still not loving her hair colour - bring brunette back already!
Cute-as-a-button Natalie Portman rarely puts a foot wrong, and yesterday she raised the bar in this bright purple ruffled number from Lanvin's spring '08 collection. It was great to see some colour, as well as some leg on the red carpet, with Nat proving that it doesn't have to be all floor-length hems at Cannes. Pretty hair and jewels helped finish off her chic look.
It's a huge week ahead at Cannes with top international designers including Roberto Cavalli, Giorgio Armani, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Dolce & Gabbana, and Fendi already putting up camp at several suites along the Croisette just to keep the glitterati looking gorgeous.
*Sigh* it's a hard life for some, isn't it?
