GTA IV website updated, loads of new videos to check out

Rockstar has just revealed a major overhaul to the official Grand Theft Auto IV website. No longer just a collection of a handful of screens and movies, you can now navigate round a 2D overview of the new Liberty City, read up on the various district, locales and people that personify Rockstar’s highly unique take on the American Dream.

There’s also five new videos for you to watch, giving a bit of a closer look at the places you’ll be visiting and the characters you’ll be meeting once the game arrives, on April 29th.

It’s clear that Rockstar is putting in the same phenomenal attention to detail that made the previous GTA games such a success. In fact, it seems hell bent on going above and beyond the call of duty when creating their fully realised parody New York. The Sprunk website is particularly hilarious as is the Love-Meet peronsality quiz, which come complete with downloadable content, embedable code, MySpace templates and everything.

Hopefully there’ll be even more updates to the website in the run up to the game’s launch. One thing that we’re definitely going to keeping our eyes peeled for is the new multiplayer feature. Rockstar has been very quiet on that front so far, and the official site still has no information on it, although it’s stated as “Coming soon”.
