The comment comes ahead of Madonna's half-time gig during the iconic game on Sunday. Elton dished out the advice during an appearance on Good Morning America. He has previously accused Madonna of not singing live at her concerts, after she won an award for Best Live Act at the GQ Awards in 2004. John also revealed that apart from recent Super Bowl performances by the Rolling Stones and Prince, he has "never ever" seen a decent Super Bowl half-time show. However, the Rocket Man singer said he does feel for artists who perform during the game. "You have to play live, but I don't think you can," he said. "In all fairness to everyone who's done one before, you may be able to sing live, but it's really hard to play live."
