the thought of becoming the next England football manager has not crossed his mind. Speaking from his car as he left his home in Poole, the Tottenham manager said: "I've not even thought about it. I've got a job to do. I've got a big game on Saturday for Tottenham. Tottenham is my focus." The resignation of Fabio Capello from the managerial role took many by surprise, including Redknapp. "I was shocked. I was surprised. I didn't expect that to happen. We knew he was going to leave in the summer. I didn't expect it to happen now," he said. Harry Redknapp is currently the favourite to get the job of England football manager. On Wednesday, the Spurs boss was cleared of tax evasion charges.</media:text>

Capello quits Britain

Fabio Capello has left the country following his resignation as England football manager.

Related Stories

Fabio Capello leaves his home after resignation

England Manager Fabio Capello resigns

Fabio Capello tweets: England players react to resignation

David Beckham talks Olympic hopes and staying with LA Galaxy

Death toll in Port Said rises after Egypt football violence

Related Stories

Capello quits England

Capello's successor: The contenders

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Stuart Pearce named as temporary England boss

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>fabio capello, england manager, football, soccer, leave, house, home, suitcases, resignation, resigns, sacked, departs.</media:keywords><media:text>Fabio Capello has left the country following his resignation as England football manager. However, he did "sympathise" with his feelings that his authority had been undermined, following the FA's decision to strip John Terry of his England captaincy.</media:text>

Stuart Pearce named as temporary England boss

Stuart Pearce will take over as caretaker manager of England after Fabio Capello quit.

Related Stories

Shearer shocked by Capello decision

Shearer 'surprised' by Capello support for Terry

Capello could be in trouble over Terry comments

Fabio Capello tweets: England players react to resignation

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Related Stories

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Capello quits Britain

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>stuart pearce, england, fabio capello, england football, fa, football association</media:keywords><media:text>Stuart Pearce will take over as caretaker manager of England after Fabio Capello quit. While Stuart Pearce - in charge of the England under-21s - may be the man to take over from Capello on an interim basis, Harry Redknapp - who walked free from court on Wednesday - has been widely touted as the favourite to lead the team into this summer's European Championships. However, the rumour mill is turning very rapidly and people are discussing who they would like to see given the role on social networking sites like Twitter, and Redknapp is not the only name being bandied about. Despite the fact Real Madrid are presently seven points clear at the top of La Liga, there have been reports that Jose Mourinho is not enjoying his time in Spain, and he has recently hinted at a return to England. The former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss has been heavily linked with several club posts including Manchester City, Spurs and even Arsenal. But now it is thought the Special One could be in line for the international job if he is interested. Arsene Wenger's Arsenal side may have won 7-1 at the weekend but he has had a tough time of it recently and some Gunners fans have made it known that they are less than satisfied with him. Wenger has always been linked with the France national team though and speculation suggests he could take over after Euro 2012, because the team's current boss Laurent Blanc is believed to have fallen out with the football federation. Dutchman Guus Hiddink is a giant in footballing terms with plenty of experience in international management. He has led the Netherlands, South Korea, Turkey and Russia as well as numerous club sides. He also speaks good English and is familiar with the British press following his successful but brief spell in charge of Chelsea in 2009. Some English coaches have been mentioned too - the likes of Roy Hodgson and Sam Allardyce, who both have long and distinguished records in club football. Even David Beckham, who has no experience in management and has just signed a new deal with LA Galaxy has been talked about by some as a possible candidate. But obvious as it may be, many believe the most likely man to succeed Capello is indeed Harry Redknapp. That might sound like grim news for Spurs fans, who are currently third in the Premier League, but it is certainly not impossible for managers to continue coaching their club team until the end of the season before taking up an international role for a major tournament.</media:text>

Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

Former FA chief executive Brian Barwick said he is "surprised but not shocked" at the resignation of Fabio Capello as England manager.

Related Stories

Capello reaction: Former FA chief executive Brian Barwick

Capello could be in trouble over Terry comments

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Shearer shocked by Capello decision

Shearer 'surprised' by Capello support for Terry

Related Stories

Capello's successor: The contenders

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Stuart Pearce named as temporary England boss

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>fabio capello resigns, capello quits, football association, FA, Brian Barwick, john terry, euros.</media:keywords><media:text>Former FA chief executive Brian Barwick said he is "surprised but not shocked" at the resignation of Fabio Capello as England manager. In a meeting for over an hour, Fabio's resignation was accepted and he will leave the post of England Manager with immediate effect. David Bernstein said: "I would like to stress that during today's meeting and throughout his time as England Manager, Fabio has conducted himself in an extremely professional manner. We have accepted Fabio's resignation, agreeing this is the right decision. We would like to thank Fabio for his work with the England team and wish him every success in the future." He had been holding talks with the FA to try and draw a line under comments he made about John Terry's involvement as a player for the national team The discussions had been taking place between Capello, FA chairman David Bernstein and general secretary Alex Horne. It wasn't expected the Italian would hand in his resignation. An FA statement read: "The discussions focused on the FA board's decision to remove the England team captaincy from John Terry, and Fabio Capello's response through an Italian broadcast interview. The search for a new manager is now under way as Capello leaves the job with immediate effect. The odds on Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp becoming the next boss have shortened after his acquittal for tax fraud. David Bernstein and the Club England management team are due to hold a press conference on Thursday lunchtime to talk about the latest development. It means that Capello will never lead England into a major tournament again, leaving before the opportunity to manage the team at the Euro 2012 Championships in Poland and Ukraine.</media:text>

Capello's successor: The contenders

Harry Redknapp is a contender for England manager after Fabio Capello's shock exit.

Related Stories

Capello could be in trouble over Terry comments

England Manager Fabio Capello resigns

Capello reaction: Former FA chief executive Brian Barwick

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

Related Stories

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Capello quits Britain

Stuart Pearce named as temporary England boss

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>Capello resigns, Fabio Capello quits, John Terry, England manager, Euro 2012, Football Association, racism row.</media:keywords><media:text>Fabio Capello's shock exit has created a vacancy for an England manager, just four months away from the start of Euro 2012. Unlike when Capello was offered £6million a year to clear up the mess left by Steve McClaren, the Football Association do at least have options: HARRY REDKNAPP Ticks all the boxes; English, managed in the Champions League, won trophies, plays attractive football and has done so with Tottenham thanks to a core of English players, including captaincy candidate Scott Parker. Has to be the overwhelming favourite now he's been acquitted of tax fraud. ROY HODGSON Was strongly fancied to replace Capello following the 2010 World Cup. However, before the FA made their decision, Hodgson plumped for an ill-fated spell with Liverpool. Now at West Brom, Hodgson has vast managerial experience and would be viewed as a safe pair of hands. ALAN PARDEW After difficult spells at Charlton and Southampton, Pardew has re-established his reputation at Newcastle. Overcome a lot of scepticism to re-establish the Magpies as a top-flight force and not yet out of contention for a Champions League place after an outstanding campaign. STUART PEARCE Long-time coach of the England Under-21 side and confirmed as boss of the Olympic team later this year. Pearce's fierce reputation as a player took a knock when he failed to curb the excesses of Joey Barton at Manchester City. Lacks experience of the club scene but many other countries prefer to appoint from within. JOSE MOURINHO Impeccable CV and perfect grasp of English. One man who would have no problem controlling the dressing-room egos. Tipped to leave Real Madrid in the summer, his fiery temperament might be a big problem for the FA, in addition to his salary demands, which are sure to be high. ARSENE WENGER Hugely respected in England and his knowledge of the domestic game clearly an advantage. In the middle of a vast rebuilding exercise at Arsenal, where some fans have turned against him, so not impossible to believe he could be prised away. Never shown any liking for the international game though.</media:text>

Redknapp jurors consider verdicts

The jury trying Harry Redknapp on tax evasion charges has retired to consider its verdicts.

Related Stories

Harry Redknapp proud of Spurs' Premier League performance

Harry Redknapp says Spurs will attack Man City

Manchester City 3 Tottenham 2

Balotelli charged with violent conduct

'Possibility' of football club buying 2012 Stadium

Related Stories

Balotelli charged with violent conduct

'Possibility' of football club buying 2012 Stadium

Young footballers given shot at the big time

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>Harry Redknapp, Milan Mandaric, Harry, Redknapp, Mandaric, tax evasion, Poortsmouth, Tottenham, Spurs, tax, fraud, tax fraud</media:keywords><media:text>The jury trying Harry Redknapp on tax evasion charges has retired to consider its verdicts. "It has become so commercial that it may be thought by some to have lost its way." "This case is not about football but about allegations of tax fraud." The QPR player posted the remarks on Twitter after the Chelsea star was stripped of the England captaincy on Friday, in the wake of being charged of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand. Dominic Grieve described comments made "in bad taste" on Twitter as "neither here nor there" and said they would be judged only on whether they would prejudice a fair hearing. "As far as I could see, in this particular case, whatever Mr Barton had been doing didn't seem to me, on the facts, to amount to creating the risk we have just been talking about," he said. "I think it is a matter of common sense. If people put out into the public domain by publishing or by broadcasting material that might influence or prejudice the course of a trial by putting background material out that is prejudicial and irrelevant to the trial process then that has the capacity to create the risk. "Mere invective or unpleasantness doesn't necessarily meet that test, though in some circumstances it could." Barton has defended his tweets on the grounds of free speech.</media:text>

Shearer 'surprised' by Capello support for Terry

Former England captain, Alan Shearer, has admitted his surprise at England manager Fabio Capello's decision to criticise the FA.

Related Stories

Shearer shocked by Capello decision

Sir Alex Ferguson on John Terry and Rio Ferdinand

Chelsea want to forget John Terry and Anton Ferdinand row

Next England captain 'up in the air'

Capello could be in trouble over Terry comments

Related Stories

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Stuart Pearce named as temporary England boss

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>Alan Shearer, captain, armband, Sir Alex Ferguson, John, Terry, Chelsea, Man United, England, FA, court, Anton Ferdinand, racism, case, Football Association</media:keywords><media:text>Former England captain Alan Shearer has admitted his surprise at England manager Fabio Capello's decision to criticise the Football Association. The FA chose to strip John Terry of the captaincy. Capello went on Italian television to say he disagreed with the decision. Shearer said it came as a shock that the England manager would speak out so clearly against his employers. He said: "We do not know the ins and outs of it all - what has been said and what has not been said - but I have to say I am surprised with him coming out in public." Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson refused to condemn Capello's conduct. "I think that he is back in the country. I am sure he will be having some dialogue with the hierarchy." It follows his positive test for clenbuterol in September 2010 shortly after he won his third Tour de France. The 29-year-old has always maintained his innocence and claimed he failed the drugs test after eating contaminated meat. A statement from the UCI read: "The UCI acknowledges the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport to impose a suspension of two years on the rider Alberto Contador following the UCI's appeal, brought in conjunction with the World Anti-Doping Agency, in the case concerning the Spanish cyclist. "In rejecting the defence argument, in particular that the presence of clenbuterol in Alberto Contador's urine sample came from the consumption of contaminated meat, today's ruling confirms the UCI's position. UCI president Pat McQuaid added: "This is a sad day for our sport. Some may think of it as a victory, but that is not at all the case. "There are no winners when it comes to the issue of doping: every case, irrespective of its characteristics, is always a case too many." Contador now faces having his 2010 Tour de France title stripped from him.</media:text>

Capello could be in trouble over Terry comments

Fabio Capello could be in breach of contract after openly challenging the decision to strip John Terry of the England captaincy.

Related Stories

Sir Alex Ferguson on John Terry and Rio Ferdinand

Next England captain 'up in the air'

Chelsea want to forget John Terry and Anton Ferdinand row

Terry stripped of England captaincy

Gary Cahill unveiled by Chelsea

Related Stories

Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Capello quits Britain

Stuart Pearce named as temporary England boss

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>England, Fabio Capello, Capello, Terry, John Terry, Chelsea, Euro, Euro 2012, FA, Football Association, David Davies</media:keywords><media:text>It is suggested that Fabio Capello could be in breach of contract after openly challenging the decision to strip John Terry of the England captaincy. The Italian spoke out in defence of the Chelsea star during an interview with Italian broadcaster Rai 1 on Sunday. He was not consulted before the Football Association made its move on Friday, and said he was "absolutely not" in agreement with the FA's decision. "I have spoken to the chairman and I have said that, in my opinion, one cannot be punished until it's official and the court - a non-sporting court, a civil court - has made a decision to decide if John Terry has done what he has been accused of." The FA acted once it was known Terry would not face trial over allegations he used racist language to QPR's Anton Ferdinand until after Euro 2012 in July, despite the player denying the charge. Former FA chief executive David Davies says Capello may have breached his contract and could face action over his comments. "You could have what some of the media are calling a morality circus while England are trying to win the second major tournament in football. "A contract may have been breached, there is strong leadership now at the FA from David Bernstein. Last week he wasn't slow to take things forward and he may not be slow to do so now."</media:text>

Giants beat Patriots in Super Bowl

The New York Giants have won a nailbiting Super Bowl 21-17 against the New England Patriots.

Related Stories

Adam Sandler and Madonna at Super Bowl

Adam Sandler and Madonna at the Super Bowl

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>Super Bowl, New England Patriots, Patriots, Giants, New York Giants, New York, New England, Eli Manning, Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis</media:keywords><media:text>The New York Giants have won a nailbiting Super Bowl 21-17 against the New England Patriots. Inspired by their quarterback Eli Manning, the stole victory with a last-minute touchdown from Ahmad Bradshaw. The victory at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis was a repeat of their last Super Bowl win against the Patriots four years ago. "The greatest feeling in professional sports is to win the Super Bowl," said New York's Tom Coughlin, who at 65 became the oldest coach to win a Super Bowl. "What a wonderful experience it was to see the team come together like they did." The Giants had looked to have no hope of even competing for the title after a four-game skid late on that put them in danger of missing the playoffs. New York mayor Michael Bloomberg immediately announced the team would be honored with a ticker-tape parade on Tuesday.</media:text>

Chelsea 3 Manchester United 3

Two highly controversial penalties helped Manchester United produce a trademark comeback to avoid another defeat at Chelsea.

Related Stories

Chelsea 'will not sell Frank Lampard'

Chelsea 'will not sell Frank Lampard'

Chelsea receive bid for Alex

Manchester City 0 Liverpool 1

Hughes: No need for wholesale changes

Related Stories

Capello could be in trouble over Terry comments

Shearer 'surprised' by Capello support for Terry

Barton deemed no threat to Terry trial

Capello quits Britain

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>Chelsea, Manchester United, football, Premier League, Stamford Bridge, Wayne Rooney</media:keywords><media:text>With the help of two controversial penalties, Manchester United staged a trademark comeback to avoid another defeat at Chelsea and move within two points of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League. Despite dominating for long periods, United's Stamford Bridge curse looked to have struck again when Jonny Evans put Daniel Sturridge's cross into his own net, Juan Mata scored a superb goal and a David Luiz header flew in off the shoulder of Rio Ferdinand. But referee Howard Webb afforded them a lifeline by awarding two soft spot-kicks - both scored by Wayne Rooney - before substitute Javier Hernandez snatched a point six minutes from time. Although it was another classic second half at Stamford Bridge, it was more dropped points for Chelsea from a winning position as they almost lost at home in the league to United for the first time in ten years.</media:text>

Ireland 21 Wales 23

Wales piled fresh misery on Ireland just four months after knocking them out of the World Cup by claiming a dramatic 6 Nations victory.

Related Stories

Britain braced for Arctic blasts

Gary Speed still 'in our thoughts' say family at inquest

Acrobatic dog balances on a chain

Gary Barlow wants a beautiful night for the Diamond Jubilee

Massereene Barracks shootings: Families react to verdict

Related Stories

Djokovic wins Australian Open

Lancaster: English victory 'first step'

Capello quits England

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>6 Nations victory, Wales, Ireland, rugby, Leigh Halfpenny, Stephen Ferris, penalty, referee Wayne Barnes, Six nations</media:keywords><media:text>Wales piled fresh misery on Ireland just four months after knocking them out of the World Cup by claiming a dramatic and controversial Six Nations victory, in a game when the lead changed hands five times. Full-back Leigh Halfpenny kicked an 80th-minute penalty after Ireland flanker Stephen Ferris was sin-binned for a dangerous tackle on Wales lock Ian Evans. It appeared a harsh call by referee Wayne Barnes, with the offence nowhere near as bad as Bradley Davies' tackle which earlier upended Donnacha Ryan, for which Davies only received a yellow card. Halfpenny held his nerve to give Wales a rare Six Nations win in Dublin as boos rang around the Aviva Stadium, his strike following earlier tries by centre Jonathan Davies (2) and wing George North.</media:text>

Barton tweets 'investigated'

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton risks becoming the first person to be charged with contempt of court over his Tweeting.

Related Stories

QPR 0 Chelsea 1

Handshakes abandoned at Chelsea QPR tie

Related Stories

Shearer 'surprised' by Capello support for Terry

Barton deemed no threat to Terry trial

Capello's successor: The contenders

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>QPR, Queens Park Rangers, Anton Ferdinand, John Terry, contempt</media:keywords><media:text>Government legal officers are investigating Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton over his tweeting. The footballer posted a series of messages on the site concerning John Terry, ahead of his trial for allegedly racially abusing Anton Ferdinand, a charge he denies. The remarks came following Terry's loss of the England captaincy. After airing his views, he commented: "I'll probably get a letter now from 'the powers that be'. "If you're reading this don't bother........." However a spokesman for Attorney General said: "I can confirm the tweets have been brought to our attention and have been viewed." The Attorney General, Dominic Grieve, is the Government's senior legal officer, and his remit includes ensuring defendants facing criminal allegations receive a fair trial. Barton has since returned to the site to defend his comments, citing his right to free speech.</media:text>

Lancaster: English victory 'first step'

Stuart Lancaster says England's 13-6 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield is the first step towards restoring English rugby.

Related Stories

England captain Chris Robshaw proud to take role

Michelle Mone threatens to leave Scotland

Britain braced for Arctic blasts

Related Stories

Shearer 'surprised' by Capello support for Terry

Capello quits England

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Stuart Pearce named as temporary England boss

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>Murrayfield, Scotland, England, 6 Nations, calcutta, cup, rugby, stuart, lancaster</media:keywords><media:text>Stuart Lancaster says England's 13-6 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield is the first step towards restoring English rugby. England's interim head coach praised his team after they lifted the Calcutta Cup and opened their RBS 6 Nations campaign following a key try from Charlie Hodgson. "This is a very difficult place to come and win. It has been a great result for us," Lancaster said. "We have been delighted with the attitude we showed, particularly in defence. Our discipline was very good and our desire to work hard, play for each other, play for the shirt. "They are the things we have talked about and it was great to see them come through," he added. "We have talked a lot about work rate, working hard for each other and fostering a spirit and it showed on the field. "We didn't get everything right but we got a lot of things right. The national manager is reportedly furious at having his hands tied by the FA, who stripped Terry of the job pending the outcome of his trial in July on a charge of racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, which Terry denies. Capello's position has always been that the skipper is innocent until proved guilty and that he should have the final say on all team matters. It is reportedly "likely" that the manager will still field Terry during Euro 2012. However, the most pressing question for the squad is his replacement as captain. Steven Gerrard is the most likely choice but he has spent 2011 dogged by injury and has not played for England since 2010. Vice Captain Rio Ferdinand has ruled himself out - angered at being stripped of the role himself without warning last year, Wayne Rooney faces a two-match ban, and Ashley Cole has said he does not want the armband. Manchester City keeper Joe Hart is a possibility, but has never captained a team before, Tottenham's Scott Parker is inexperienced, and Frank Lampard's starting position is in doubt.</media:text>

Terry stripped of England captaincy

John Terry has been stripped of the England captaincy until after his racism court trial, the FA has confirmed.

Related Stories

Sir Alex Ferguson on John Terry and Rio Ferdinand

Shearer shocked by Capello decision

Shearer 'surprised' by Capello support for Terry

Next England captain 'up in the air'

Handshakes abandoned at Chelsea QPR tie

Related Stories

FA statement on Fabio Capello in full

Capello reaction: Former FA chief is "surprised not shocked"

Who next for England after Capello resignation?

Stuart Pearce named as temporary England boss

Harry Redknapp 'not thought about' England job

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:keywords>john terry, anton ferdinand, terry stripped, joe hart, gerrard, parker, fa, capello, captaincy, racism, court</media:keywords><media:text>John Terry has been stripped of the England captaincy until after his racism court trial, the FA has confirmed. The decision was explained to the Chelsea defender and England manager Fabio Capello by FA chairman David Bernstein in phone calls this morning. In emotional scenes from the dock, the Tottenham Hotspur manager shouted from the witness box at prosecutor John Black QC. Mr Redknapp said: "You think I put my hand on the bible and told lies? That's an insult, Mr Black, that's an insult." Mr Black ended his cross-examination at Southwark Crown Court by saying: "I suggest you have been telling the court a pack of lies." Redknapp replied: "Everything I have told you is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God." Both Harry Redknapp and his co-defendant Milan Mandaric deny two counts of cheating the public revenue, through 'bungs' worth £189,000 in a Monaco bank account.</media:text>

Muhammad Ali's trainer dies at 90

Angelo Dundee, the man who trained boxing greats such as Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard, has died at the age of 90.

<media:category>Sport</media:category><media:text>Angelo Dundee, the man who trained boxing greats such as Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard, has died at the age of 90. He passed away at his home in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday. The veteran trainer was Ali's cornerman for almost his entire career, motivating him in his first fight against Sonny Liston through to the legendary fights with Joe Frazier. He was strongly regarded as one of boxing's great ambassadors and, in 1994, Dundee was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, after a career that spanned six decades. In a statement, his family said: "Angelo died surrounded by family and friends. "He was very happy that he got to celebrate Ali's (70th) birthday earlier this year and also that he got to go to the Hall of Fame. He still had much to do, but led a full and extraordinary life." Angelo Dundee achieved a lot in his career but it was his relationship with Ali that has cemented his place in boxing history, helping him to win the heavyweight title three times. Tributes have poured in for Dundee, with former world champion David Haye writing on Twitter: "R.I.P. Angelo Dundee. The Greatest Coach ever. The footballer is accused of racially abusing QPR player Anton Ferdinand at Loftus Road in October, a charge he denies. "John Terry should stand aside as captain until the case is resolved, and any doubt either way removed," tweeted Damian Collins MP, a member of the House of Commons Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee. Terry's five-day hearing will now not take place until July 9, and with England coach Fabio Capello having said he will continue selecting his captain until the conclusion of the case, that seems certain to rubber-stamp his place at this summer's Euro 2012 finals. Reading striker and radio pundit Jason Roberts Tweeted: "Believe me...the Dressing room at the Euros will be TOXIC unless the correct decision is made..!!!" The FA have not commented on the matter and Capello is unlikely to make any public statement until the days before England's friendly with Holland at Wembley on February 29.</media:text>
