Joss Stone to sing campaign song for Obama
British soul sensation Joss Stone is writing a song backing Barack Obama's US presidential bid.
Mr Obama, 47, has asked the 21-year-old Devon-born singer to record a one-off track as the theme to his election battle with Republican senator, John McCain.
The Democrat candidate approached her personally because he was impressed by her appeal to both white and black voters in America.
Latest showbiz bulletinA source said: “Joss is a big supporter of Barack Obama and was very excited to be asked to do this for him. She believes he is going to be the first black American president and she is honoured to be a part of that.”
Joss is a household name in the US where she is understood to be focusing her career after her last album, Introducing Joss Stone, flopped in the UK.

This is rather like that girl from Eastenders, the one who was married to Grant Mitchell who went to the states and was Liza Minnelli's bridesmaid. Her career never took off so she came back with her tail between her legs and is currently appearing in another awful soap. What was her name? Tiffany? or something like that.
