...British Motocross Grand Prix that is.

Former four-times WSBK champion and Foggy Petronas team principal, Carl Fogarty, is rumoured to be considering an invitation to race in the Veterans class at the forthcoming British Motocross Grand Prix at Mallory Park.

While there is no official word on the matter the Briton - who retired from WSBK after a career-ending accident at Phillip Island in 2000 - is thought to have been approached about the possibility of racing for home manufacturer CCM.

The Veterans World Championship is a mini-series, consisting of 'past masters', which supports the main MX1 and MX2 classes at several grands prix each season. Britain's triple 500cc Motocross world champion Dave Thorpe is the defending Veterans champion.

Whilst still a regular off-road rider in his spare time (pictured), Foggy's last grand prix experience was on asphalt, in the 1993 500cc British Grand Prix at Donington Park, when he claimed a fourth place finish for Cagiva.

The British Motocross Grand Prix will take place at a newly constructed Mallory Park off-road circuit on June 1.
