Christina Hendricks is arguably the most stylish lady in the known universe, so of course we're going to be interested in what she's wearing - and carrying - outside of her (usually very well dressed!) TV and film roles. And in a recent off-screen appearance, the redhead debuted a new accessory that's perfect for her subtly vintage style: Jerome C Rousseau's hexagonal 'Moij' bag:

Hats Off: Bizarre Anita Hopkins Hat

Let me introduce to you, the Anita Hopkins 'Alabaster Spirit Hat', currently retailing at £625.81 sold at Farfetch here. The hat is hand-made with imprinted face front detail and back string tassel and quite frankly, looks like something a Potterhead would make and don outside a premiere.

I fell upon the unusual creation when hunting down avant-garde hats for our feature on Isabella Blow, and I think we can all agree it ticks the box of avant-garde alright. When showing the hat to the rest of the office, it definitely got some attention and I'm afraid to say, it was all pretty much in the negative area.

However, there's something about the hat I really quite like and I think it's the controversy it would bring on the occasions it would be worn. Heading to the races or to worse, a family wedding with an unbearable aunt or mother-in-law from hell? It's the kind of thing that would be so intolerable for them they would probably end up looking just like the hat itself attempting to express their pain from the non-comformity.

I like to think Anita has a family member that really gets under her skin and this was for them.

To celebrate the the announcement of Somerset House's Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore! we thought it was only appropriate to imagine which hats Miss Blow would be wow-ing fashion crowds with today if she were still around and bring them straight to you in gallery form. Known for her avant-garde sense of style we've pulled out the most eclectic and eccentric mix to place upon your heads. If you're heading to the races this summer why not break against the mould à la Issie and rock a millinery statement? From Mickey Mouse ears to bejewelled beanies, your head never looked so good..

The exhibition at Somerset House opens at the end of November running until March next year and will celebrate the life, career and wardrobe of the legendary fashion icon including garments from discovered designers such as Hussein Chalayan, Alexander McQueen, Philip Treacy and Julien Macdonald. Daphne Guiness said:

"This exhibition is, to me, a bittersweet event. Isabella Blow made our world more vivid, trailing colour with every pace she took. It is a sorrier place for her absence. When I visited her beloved clothes in a storage room in South Kensington, it seemed quite clear the collection would be of immense value to a great many people. I do believe that in choosing to exhibit them we've done the right thing - and that it is what she would have wanted. I am doing this in memory of a dear friend, in the hope that her legacy may continue to aid and inspire generations of designers to come".

Tech Tuesday: Jill-e 'Bennett' leather laptop bag for Macbook Pro and iPad

For those in the market for a laptop bag that's built to protect your Apple gadgets while looking seriously stylish, Jill-e is a name you might want to investigate. I've recently been road-testing their 'Bennett' bag; a leather satchel-style bag with compartments designed for the iPad and Macbook Pro, and have found it to be the perfect commuter's companion...

Generously proportioned and made from strong, textured leather, the bag is a good unisex choice that taps in to the current hipsterish satchel trend while retaining all of the more practical qualities of the original school bag. Make up bags don't have to look a particular way - they can be as playful and OTT as you like, and in the case of this vintage-style zip-up bag from The Chic Country Home, there's no mistaking what's inside. I think we can all agree that Miss Katy Perry looked somewhat of a goddess at the Met Gala Ball this year. That's because the pop Queen rocked Dolce and Gabbana Autumn/Winter 2013, a collection that seemed practically made for her (if you didn't catch how good she looked at Coachella in D&G then educate yourself here).

This particular ensemble included a very worthy crown styled with royal gown and heavily embellished cross earrings. We think KP shouldn't go alone in the lavishness and you should join her, after all you're practically a princess in your mind already after all those fantasies you've had about wedding Prince Harry, so just count this as one step closer.

Highstreet Vs Designer: H&M mimics Jason Wu

H&M have just released the above little beauty on the right and it is clear to see where they have gained their inspiration from. Although, not an identical copy and with it's differences in design, the H&M powder pink square clutch with bead embroidery boasts many of the same qualities as the irresistible hot pink Jason Wu, over on the left. However, it is fair to say H&M's offering is somewhat of a steal at £24.99 as opposed to Jason's £1,235. Besides, it's satin and it's only a matter of time before a pet or a child gets near it and scratches it anyway, or you get drunk and do it yourself. I think it's fair to say the high street wins once again.

The Best Punk Accessories: Showing The Met Gala How it's Done

The Met Gala's theme this year was supposedly meant to be punk introducing the exhibition Punk: Chaos to Couture, but it's fair to say some of the A-Listers swanning their way up the red carpet didn't get the memo. As an individual who is practically glued into her Dr. Martens and dyes her hair red to The Clash, I was disappointed to see those not rising to the occasion. So, in the spirit of all things punk, I've pulled together the best of the punk accessories on our good old, trusty high street so us, the public can show 'em how it's done. Fold Down Messenger Bags: Zara does Jil Sander

Time hop to where you were this time last year, perhaps you were on a picnic on Primrose Hill or something equally as twee. Jil Sander on the other hand, controversially released the world's most expensive paper bag retailing at £185. The bag, made of '100 percent coated paper' featured stitched seams and was carried by the models of the designer's autumn/winter 2012 menswear show. The bag proved such a success it immediately sold out and was brought out in a leather alternative.

Due to the mighty success of the bags, a fold down bag clutch was designed for women retailing at £400 and this season, Zara have pinched it as their own. This bag being much more compact but follows the familiar Jil Sander fold-up design, offering the option of a strap allowing it to be a shoulder bag as well as a clutch. Colourways of the bag include; brown, black, two tone red and sea-green and it is a steal at £19.99, so good in fact that we may have to treat ourselves to more that one.. 2 fold-down bags at £40 makes much more sense than 185 smackers on a paper one in our heads!

Kotur, the brainchild of ex-Ralph Lauren designer Fiona Kotur, is fast becoming one of our favourite names in innovative and different accessory design, and its hard-edged box clutches are always a highlight of its seasonal collection. While we're still busy lusting over the neon tones and bold prints of its current summer range, it looks like the autumn/winter collection is going to be something pretty special too, so here are some highlights from it for you to enjoy ahead of schedule.

Crazy and colourful designs sit alongside gleaming metallics and studded pyramid patterns - in a range of square and rectangular-cut clutches, all made to be the centrepiece in glamorous evening wear. With references to Art Deco as well as surrealist painting and frequent visits from the ubiquitous moustache, the collection somehow still manages to be more playful than pretentious, and makes for a fun alternative to McQueen or Lanvin.

Top 10 travel card holders for summer 2013

I've been using the same plastic pass case to carry my Oyster card (basically your passport to London!) for over two years now, and as I yanked it out of my pocket this morning, noticed to my sadness that it was starting to fall apart. This got me thinking about travelcard holders and where I could pick up a stylish new one - after all, we look at these tiny objects several times a day, and they're among the first items I pay much attention to in the mornings, once the caffeine has kicked in!

Now it's time to trade in my old travel pass wallet I have to decide whether to go for a cheap-and-cheerful 'novelty' item or a longer-lasting, pricier one made from real leather or other tough materials. There are plenty of options to consider here - from fun and humorous plastic cases to £300 Mulberry wallets - all created in the perfect dimensions for carrying your travel or credit cards securely and in style.

Designer vs. High Street: Marc Jacobs/Boohoo

If you're looking for a close copy of a high-end handbag at the moment, Boohoo is positively stuffed with them - and if you can't afford the real thing it's definitely worth a browse! The online-only store has a host of designer-a-like bags in at the moment, and has been particularly hot on the trail of the transparent/perspex trend that has been such a huge influence in spring/summer 2013's designer collections.

Take this cross-body bag by Marc Jacobs (above left) for example: Boohoo's version, the Penelope bag (above right) is a fraction of the price at just £25. The 'original' Marc by Marc Jacobs bags in various colours are priced at £290 and are available at Monnier Freres. Whether you go for the cheaper equivalent or the real deal, this cute and boxy style is easy to love, and reminds me a little bit of old-fashioned camera bags. Boohoo's bag won't fool anybody, but I do think they've gone with a good choice of colours.

Bag Lady Loves: Tatty Devine's S/S 2013 menagerie

This weekend, I was lucky enough to attend the S/S 2013 Tatty Devine Sample Sale, which resulted in some seriously awesome bargains from the home-grown jewellery label it's impossible not to love. I picked up some an iconic 'bunting' necklace, which will look great with colourful spring clothing, and some 3D specs cufflinks for the Beau...but my favourite find by far was a tiny tortoise pendant necklace. Here he is nestled up against my buttons!

At the bargain price of just £20, this little guy was a seriously special find, but I'm not completely fascinated by the rest of the collection - which is inspired by vintage Victorian jewellery, and is made from super shiny perspex to give a realistic, shell-like finish. Victorians used real tortoises in their designs, so it's good to know that no reptiles were harmed in the making of this range!

I love the way the light plays on the cracked 'shell' on the back of this two-toned-turtle - which is designed to be the actual size of a newly hatched tortoise. How cute!

Also in the nature-inspired collection are these rather wonderful leaf motif pieces, which include the leaf earrings pictured below (£40). Part of the 'Hot House' collection, it includes necklaces, brooches and bracelets, all made from colour-pop perspex. Some also include bright and colourful ladybirds, perched for a tasty snack!

This current collection is one of the cutest I've seen, and is sure to delight Tatty fans and newbies to the brand alike. Tatty Devine is a label that never disappoints, and I'm yet to make a purchase there that hasn't resulted in repeated wears, sincere compliments and gallons of tears in the event of theft or loss. Bring on the next sample sale!
