Zoids. We'd love to say more, but to be honest all we can remember about them now is saving up for ages for the gorilla and t-rex ones, then being hugely disappointed that they couldn't be combined into some kind of monkey-rex. Pah. (N.B. Eurogamer is aware that a gorilla is an ape rather than a monkey)

Well the gameplay looks kinda cool, but animal shaped mechas is quite silly. (and I do realize this is based on some kind of Transformersesque-comic)
