Hertha 0-0 Liverpool: Andriy Voronin misses a penalty

Andriy Voronin (getty)

Andriy Voronin missed a penalty in Berlin last night as Liverpool showed just why they need to sign Robbie Keane.

In the absence of Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres, Rafa Benitez's troops were lucky to escape defeat.

There was little to cheer about for the healthy sprinkling of Liverpool fans among the 51,641 in the Olympic Stadium.

The Reds were awarded their spot kick after 50 minutes when Voronin's shirt was tugged. But the Ukranian was left holding his head as sub keeper Christian Fiedler kept out his poor effort.
