08 August 2008

Samsung Soul Olympic Special Edition to commemorate the 2008 Olympic Games

Samsung has announced its latest handset - a revamp of the Soul mobile phone to commemorate the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. To be known as the Samsung ‘Soul Special Olympic Edition', the release emphasises the position of Samsung as one of the official partners for the sporting event. According to the Phones Review website, the new version of the Soul will be available as a limited edition - although it's currently not known in what numbers. The phone features an official Olympic logo etched onto the battery cover.

The Soul is a popular and fully featured handset with a built-in camera specified at a useful 5MP along with the very fast 7.2Mbps HSDPA for swift data transfer mode. Expansion for external accessories is supported via the trusty Bluetooth 2.0 slot. Currently, there have been no released information regarding UK distribution or a UK price.
