Job description
An exciting role for a sharp graduate in CompSci, to learn advanced programming; and get an insight into the eCommerce practice of our clients who range from Tesco to T-Mobile to Premium Bonds to Zavvi.

We'll agree a structured training program as you learn: so we'll want you to have a strong desire to hone your programming skills, and to learn the state of the art approaches.

You'll be exposed to and learn more in 2 years with us than 10 years with a similar role in a large company!
You'll get the buzz of your own decisions and projects making a difference; no management layer is going to naysay your well designed proposals. Everyone's views are taken on board - so long as the thinking behind them is explained.

(We don't have restrictive head-office guidelines, or need to jump through hoops to get things changed).

Our small team are clever, expert software developers, and the culture is one of openness, learning and deciding together.

Our office is based in the heart of the historic city of Canterbury: a bustling town with 2 Universities. We're close by to shops, cafes and 2 minutes walk to the railway station and direct trains to London: and a 2 minute drive to the M2.
Person requirements
You've already realised that software development is what you love: the creative buzz of getting things built, problem solving, well designed solutions.
You can talk sensibly about how different languages compare, and read leading software developers blogs, to add to your knowledge.

You love learning, but it's not ideas for their own sake that inspire you, but how you can creatively fit them into the real-world to get the job done most neatly and elegantly
You combine that with have good team skills, to share architecture discussions and analysis in a group; use email and phonewith our UK clients' developers or 3rd parties, by email or phone.

You probably have been exposed to a little sys admin: probably Linux/Unix,and LAMP.
Degree requirements
You must have a 2.1 in CompSCi or possibly a high-science subject like maths or physics: from a solid university.
