Mixed Week Ahead Added : Mon 6 October : 08:25 BST
The coming week is set to deliver quite a mixture of weather conditions with further spells of rain at times but also some drier and brighter intervals, especially later in the week.
The first half of the week is likely to be unsettled, especially on Tuesday. Some showers across the west on Monday will steadily move east while then combining with an area of low pressure developing to the southwest. A wet and windy day is expected across many areas on Tuesday as a result.
The remainder of the week will see high pressure become a feature of the weather especially across the south, so some drier and brighter conditions are expected here on Wednesday and Thursday. A developing low pressure to the west will introduce more unsettled conditions however by the end of the week, especially to Scotland and Northern Ireland. Email to Friend
