It seems to have been quite a long time since the British Isles saw some cold weather, if you're memory is good you'll know that it was back at the end of October thanks to a Northerly wind.

The coming week is set to see a big change across the British Isles. The weather during Monday through to Thursday will see an anticyclone sat to the Southwest of the British Isles, this will aid to keep the weather settled for England and Wales but more unsettled conditions will affect Scotland at times.

The weather is set to turn colder later in the week as the British Isles looses the Northwesterly wind and sees a Northerly wind become established. Scotland looks like seeing snow while everywhere will be cold with very cold overnight temperatures and a bitter wind chill, especially across the North of the British Isles.

So don't be fooled by mild weather during the first half of the coming week, by Friday you'll all be reaching for the de-icer and scarf!...
