Nobby To Sit Out Next Two Games

Nolan Misses Next Two
By Mark Heys March 24 2008
Wanderers midfielder Kevin Nolan will be suspended for the forthcoming games against Arsenal and Aston Villa after picking up his tenth booking of the season in the 0-0 draw against Manchester City on Saturday.

The Bolton skipper was booked by referee Andre Marriner in the first half of the game for a foul on City full back Vedran Corluka and he will now sit out the home game against the Gunners and the trip to Villa Park the following week.

Nolan, who has been struggling with a back problem since the end of last month, says that his suspension will give the injury time to heal.

"I've been struggling with my back so at least I'll get a rest to make myself fit for the last four or five weeks, In fact I hope I will be on the sidelines for the next four or five games because that will mean the team has been winning and we're doing well." said Nolan

Since the departure of Nicolas Anelka to Chelsea, the goalscoring charts have been lead by Nolan who now has five for the season, with the last coming against relegation rivals Reading in February.
