Rui Marques For Bolton?
The Angolan international is out of contract with the Elland Road club in the summer and Whites boss Gary McAllister is keen to keep the centre half on board.
Marques, 30, has been at Leeds for the past three years and despite a slow start to his career in England he has now become an important member of the United side which aims to secure promotion to the Championship.
He has represented his country in the African Nations Cup this year and prior to his move to Leeds had played in Switzerland, Germany and Portugal (this being the country where he was brought up).
Whether Bolton or Sunderland firm up their interest in the player remains to be seen, but in light of the Abdoulaye Meite situation earlier this month, the Wanderers could be back in the market for a new defender.
