Sony's PlayTV, a digital TV recorder for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PlayStation Portable (PSP), will launch in the UK on 10 September.
The service will allow users to record TV while playing games and also stream live TV to a PSP via the internet.
Sony president David Reeves told Eurogamer PlayTV will roll out in Europe "from September to December" kicking off with the UK launch date of 10th September. PlayTV will be priced at €99 (£80).
