Nine Inch Nails make another major free music move
Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails have made another leap into new models of digital music distribution, offering the latest album, One Hundred Percent Free available for free download.
The band - who recently released its Ghosts collection for free online, says the move to release a second album in this way is a “thank you to our fans for your continued support.”
The ten-track album is being made available in a dizzying array of formats, including high-quality MP3, FLAC, M4A lossless and as better than CD-quality WAV files. Downloads include a PDF with artwork and credits.
Fans wanting to download the music must file a valid email address on the band’s website, and will then be sent an email containing links to the free music download.
Nine Inch Nails will ship the album on CD in July, the band’s website explains.
