Wednesday, 07 May 2008 AT&T staff cancel June holidays
Could the iPhone make its US debut on 15 June?
Employees at AT&T retail stores across the US have been told not to book holiday time between 15 June and 12 July, Engadget claims.
Workers at AT&T stores aren’t being told why they should avoid taking time off in this period, just that the company plans an “exciting summer promotional launch”.
It’s an echo of last year, when employees were told not to book holiday time between 15 June and 15 July. Once again workers weren’t told what the reason for the embargo actually was last year, but it turned out to be the US iPhone launch.
We don’t know for certain, but if the Engadget report is correct, it suggests a June launch for the 3G iPhone.
