America Movil deal means iPhone's coming to 15 countries in Latin America
Apple has reached a deal with the biggest mobile network in Latin America to bring iPhone to the region.
America Movil has confirmed it will sell the iPhone across Latin America in the 15 countries it serves. The company wouldn’t reveal any financial terms to the deal and didn’t say if it had secured exclusive distribution rights in the regions.
America Movil operates in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico and Uruguay.
The company has in excess of 159 million mobile phone subscribers, by far the largest operator in Latin America.
