Wednesday, 14 May 2008 .Mac relaunch for iPhone 2.0?
Apple may introduce new .Mac features in conjunction with its iPhone software upgrade
Apple may have a secret plan to upgrade its .Mac services in conjunction with the launch of its iPhone Software 2.0 in June.
The latest rumour suggests the company plans to implement a range of new features to improve its sync services, primarily aimed at the iPhone, these would also boost productivity for owners of multiple Macs.
Reports claim the company intends enabling ‘push’ email support on its subscription-based service - but that’s not all.
.Mac will - if the rumours are true - in future also offer over the air synching of calendars, contacts and more.
And in a major improvement, the company seems set to introduce support for .Mac syncing for Windows PCs.
Macworld cannot guarantee the accuracy of these claims.
