Friday, 23 May 2008 Lightweight iTunes video editor updated
SimpleMovie X is a well-featured video editor for digital media users
Aero Quartet has released SimpleMovieX 3.7, the latest version of its lightweight video editor for OS X and iTunes.
Now faster to use and equipped with similar features to QuickTIme Pro, the software extends editing capabilities to other popular video formats AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4.
This version offered improved support of an iTunes library, as relevant film-related metadata, languages and artwork are now preserved across the editing and saving process.
Supported editing functions include splitting a movie into clips, a Batch Converter and an Audio Waveform tool. The software also offers a search pane to find sequences fast and an adaptable timeline for accurate playhead positioning. Huge files beyond 4GB, for example 6 hours of TV recording, can be edited without truncating.
An unlimited demo version of SimpleMovieX is available for free download. The software costs $35.
