Apple nears deal for iPhone in Netherlands
Apple has reached a deal to introduce the iPhone into the Netherlands, following revelation of a similar deal to bring the device to the neighboring Nordic states.
Thomson Financial reports Royal KPN to be in negotiations with Apple on shipping the product in the Netherlands. A KPN spokesman said, "KPN was approached by Apple about selling the iPhone on the Dutch market and, of course, the company is interested."
Terms of the deal and any notion of how far along these talks have gone have not been disclosed, so there’s no clear window as to when the product will ship.
Sweden’s largest mobile firm, TeliaSonera AB, yesterday confirmed it will ship iPhone in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
