If you have music and other media on multiple Macs and want to centralise this, read this
Managing iTunes libraries across multiple computers has become a little easier with the release of SuperSync 2.4.
The software aims to help users visually compare, merge, and access their media files (music and films) from anywhere, introducing a dozen new features including: enhanced metadata transfers, a much improved user interface, iPod content importing, expanded media types and new media filters.
The $29 software will send embedded track information, including genre, artist, album, and track numbers, and now also copies any additional metadata, such as star ratings, entry and end points, album covers, EQ settings and play counts.
SuperSync essentially makes it easy to move an iTunes library from one machine to another without losing vital metadata.
The software also offers the facility to download music, video, and playlist content from an iPod. SuperSync can also connect to and copy from a remote library.
The company says its solution will make it much easier for families who maintain one main music library but have other tracks scattered on computers around the house, as new content can easily be added to the master library.
A limited demo version is available. The full registered version is available for $29 (for two computers).
