Yes Man Teaser Online
Jim Carrey returns to early, funny ones

Yes Man Teaser Online

Remember in Liar, Liar, where Jim Carrey had to tell the truth and learned life lessons about what really mattered but also corrected lots of things that were wrong with his family and career along the way? Well, it looks like we're in for something not a million miles away from that in Yes Man, the teaser trailer for which is online here.

The story sees Carrey play Carl Allen, who, as part of a self-help programme, promises to say yes to everything he's offered for a year. Self-empowering and liberating to begin with, it proves a little more difficult as time rolls on, but no doubt life lessons are learned about what really matters and connections are made with family and friends.

Also, it does look kinda funny. The film's out in the US on December 19, so expect it to show up here soon thereafter.

Helen O'Hara

British.
I can't help but think that this woulda suited the source material's British setting with either Simon Pegg, Dylan Moran or Nick Frost as the Yes Man. ... Read More

RE: Rhys Darby!!
I found it hard to concentrate on the rest of the trailer once I saw Rhys Darby in it - my mind kept wandering back to hiliarious of the Conchordss! Funny actor, funny stand-up too. As for the film, trailer is so-so. Very aralright, so am ambivalent at best at this stage. ... Read More

RE:
We all know this is going to be bad, carrey badly cast as the yesman. Its basically going to be stealing the idea of the book and not using anything from it at all? (well maybe they may have the getting out of a fight by saying yes to everything? Looks like its in the trailer?)   And why isnt the carrey called danny??? ... Read More

RE: Hmmmmmm
L: giddig Was very anti this when I heard about it. Love Danny Wallace and Dave Gormans books. Jim Carrey just didn' seem to fit. He's so very BIG and American and Danny is so British. Also, for every good Jim Carrey film there's a couple of stinkers. However, I saw Danny in an interview (Sunday Kitchen or something) and he was very balanced about it, he didn't want to be too "precious" (his word) about it. So fingers crossed. don't get me started on how wrong the American 'Spaced' series... Read More
