Bryan Singer Producing Capeshooters A tale of superhero paparazzi Source: Variety
Bryan Singer has signed up to produce Capeshooters for Warner Bros, adapted from the forthcoming comic of the same name.
Capeshooters tells of a pair of slackers who decide to become paparazzi, specialising in following superheroes around, presumably for up-cape shots and 'they're just like us!' snaps of the supers buying their morning coffee while wearing their slippers. When they come across evidence that one revered hero is actually a supervillain they have to go on the run. Sounds great, but making paparazzi the heroes? Well, there's a new one.
J.P. Lavin and Chad Damiani will write the script. Singer is not eyeing this as a possible directing project, so this news should not be used to add fuel to the fire of the 'Will Singer direct Superman Returns Returns?' discussion. That argument's sufficiently flamey already.
Let's go Bryan, The Man of Steel needs you buddy. Make that 'Wrath of Khan" sequel you've been talkin' about. Forgot Miles Millar dumb comments, your're the man for the job. Some people just don't appreciate the concept of character develepment for the first movie to revive the franchise. Nothing wrong with digging deeper since everybody is flying these days, ex. Neo, dudes in Heroes, etc. etc. Superman Returns was a well, thoroughly made film. ... Read More

Can anyone shoot the 'artist' who did this terrible PhotShop job on his jaw and chin? Don't tell me those are his shoulders!

Now Singer was once a director I looked forward to however, disappointment has tempered that excitement to mere so what. It may be ok but at the same time there isn't a lot from the description to make me anticipate the film (then again looking back Apt Pupil was pretty awful as well in terms of pace so why was I surprised).

Sounds like a good, original idea. Singer is the man who started the superhero renaissance, so it's nice he's behind it, but I can't really have expectations with a director or stars. Still, fingers crossed for Valkyrie and Superman: Man of Steel. ... Read More
i hope that Valkyrie is a flop, then maybe it will teach him a lesson over Superman. btw, we should've been getting the next Superman next year, they're taking way too long with it. ... Read More
All signs point to Valkyrie being abysmal. Am I the only one who senses the current resurgence in the superhero genre waning. Surely after TDK and Watchmen we're going to let this thing wind down? There's only so far it can go. ... Read More
Come on Bryan, give us an answer one way or another, are ya gonna make the next SUPERMAN or not? And would you finish Valkyrie already, it's been ages since the first trailer. ... Read More
