Ex-Red Fortune favours the Brescia
Former Manchester United midfielder Quinton Fortune is close to joining Serie B outfit Brescia.
The former South Africa international will undergo a medical before signing a contract with the Italian outfit, the club confirmed today.
A club statement read: "Brescia announces that Quinton Fortune will undergo a medical and will begin training with the first team.
"The club does not exclude the possibility that the player, who is a free agent, will wear the Brescia colours in the coming days."
After leaving United in 2006, the 31-year-old failed to impress during a brief stint at Bolton before failed trials at Blackburn, Sunderland and Sheffield United.
Brescia are currently ninth in Serie B after seven games.
