CZECH REPUBLIC - Slavia Prague are on the verge of winning their first
league title since 1996 after a 3-1 win at Sigma Olomouc lifted
them above bitter city foes Sparta with one match left.
Slavia top the standings with 59 points while defending
champions Sparta have 57 after slipping to a 2-1 home defeat by
third-placed Banik Ostrava.
Macedonian striker Goce Toleski and Marek Jarolim fired
Slavia into a 2-0 first-half lead and Martin Abraham sealed
their win after Jakub Heidenreich had pulled one back.

UKRAINE - A 3-0 win at FC Kharkhiv left leaders Shakhtar Donetsk a
point ahead of champions Dynamo Kiev with one game remaining
and on the verge of completing their second domestic double.
Shakhtar, who beat Dynamo 2-0 in last week's cup final,
will clinch their fourth league title in six years if they beat
city rivals Metalurh at home on Sunday.
Dynamo kept alive their challenge with a 2-1 home win over
Vorskla Poltava after 18-year old striker Andriy Yermolenko
scored a superb 89th-minute winner on his first team debut.

ROMANIA - Champions CFR Cluj completed a memorable domestic double
with a 2-1 win against Unirea Urziceni in the cup final thanks
to second-half goals from Argentine Diego Ruiz and Portuguese
strike partner Antonio Semedo.
It was an icing on the cake for Cluj, who won their first
league title last week after returning to the top flight four
years ago for the first time since 1976.

SERBIA - A pair of long-range efforts by international winger Zoran
Tosic and a fine finish from Brazilian midfielder Antonello
Juca gave Partizan Belgrade a 3-1 home win over Banat Zrenjanin
and kept them three points clear at the top.
Champions Red Star Belgrade stayed in the hunt with three
games to go after coming from behind to beat Smederevo 4-3 at
home, courtesy of a trademark Dejan Milovanovic free kick.

HUNGARY - Leaders MTK Budapest and champions Debrecen both won to
stay level on points while third-placed Ujpest, who are three
points adrift, can join them in the three-way title race when
they visit Paks later on Monday.
MTK strolled to a 2-0 win at Nyiregihaza while Debrecen
collected their points without kicking a ball after they were
awarded a 3-0 walkover at Sopron, who were expelled from the
league in January for financial irregularities.

SLOVAKIA - Artmedia Bratislava edged closer to their second league
title after a 3-0 win at third-placed Nitra left them eight
points clear of champions Zilina with four games remaining.
Zilina dented their hopes of retaining the silverware with
a 1-1 draw at Dukla Banska Bystrica.
